19 countries competing in Madrid

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be the 22nd edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It will be held in Madrid, Spain, on 24 November 2024. Nineteen countries will participate in the contest, including 13 countries from the previous edition and six countries returning after a period of absence.

France returns after 17 years

One of the most notable returning countries is France. France last participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2004, when it finished 6th place with the song "Si on voulait bien". France's return to the contest is a welcome addition, and it will be interesting to see how the country fares this year.

Armenia and Bulgaria withdraw

Two countries that will not be participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 are Armenia and Bulgaria. Armenia has participated in the contest every year since 2007, but has decided to withdraw due to financial difficulties. Bulgaria has also withdrawn from the contest, citing a lack of interest from the public.

New voting system

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will see the introduction of a new voting system. The new system will be similar to the system used in the Eurovision Song Contest, with each country awarding points to their top 10 songs.

Can Spain win on home soil?

Spain has never won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, but will be hoping to do so on home soil this year. Spain has a strong track record in the contest, finishing in the top 5 on seven occasions. The country will be represented by Carlos Higes, who won the Spanish national final in February.

Who will win?

It is difficult to say who will win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024, but there are a few countries that are considered to be the favorites. Poland, Ukraine, and the Netherlands are all strong contenders, and it will be interesting to see if any of these countries can break Spain's winning streak.
