Telstar thrashes VVV with huge numbers, Velsenaren show no mercy to hapless Limburgers
Telstar scores a resounding 6-0 victory over VVV in the Kitchen Champion Division
IJmuiden - Telstar has achieved a resounding victory over VVV-Venlo in the Kitchen Champion Division on Friday evening. In front of their own audience in the Rabobank IJmond Stadion, the Velsenaren were far too strong for the hapless Limburgers: 6-0.
Telstar took the lead early in the match through Glynor Plet. In the 23rd minute, the striker converted a penalty kick, which was awarded after a foul on Anthony Berenstein. Telstar continued to dominate the match and was rewarded with a second goal in the 35th minute. This time it was Shaquille Pinas who scored, after a nice assist from Frank Korpershoek.
In the second half, Telstar continued to attack and VVV had no answer. In the 55th minute, Plet scored his second goal of the evening, after a nice pass from Thomas Oude Kotte. Substitute Gyliano van Velzen made it 4-0 in the 70th minute, after a mistake by VVV goalkeeper Lars Unnerstall.
Telstar was not finished yet and scored two more goals in the final phase. In the 80th minute, Van Velzen scored his second goal of the evening, after a nice assist from Plet. In the 85th minute, Pinas completed the scoring, after a nice pass from Van Velzen.
With this victory, Telstar climbs to sixth place in the Kitchen Champion Division. VVV remains in last place and has not yet won a single match this season.
Telstar shows no mercy to hapless Limburgers
Telstar played a strong match from start to finish and was much too strong for VVV. The Velsenaren scored no fewer than six times and kept a clean sheet. VVV was unable to create any danger and was completely outplayed.
