Strictly Come Dancing star Josh Widdicombe confirms 2023 Christmas special

The comedian reveals that he'll be taking to the dancefloor once again for the festive special

Strictly Come Dancing star Josh Widdicombe has confirmed that he will be taking part in the 2023 Christmas special.

The comedian and presenter announced the news on his BBC Radio 5 Live show, saying: "I'm very excited to be doing the Strictly Christmas special this year. I'm not a great dancer, but I'm hoping to bring some festive cheer to the dancefloor."

Widdicombe first appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, and was partnered with professional dancer Nina Wadia. The pair were eliminated in the seventh week of the competition.

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special is a one-off festive episode of the popular BBC dance show. The special features a number of celebrities who compete in a dance competition, with the winner being crowned the Christmas champion.

Previous winners of the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special include singer Harry Judd, actress Jill Halfpenny, and comedian Bill Bailey.

The 2023 Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special will air on BBC One on Christmas Day.
