Person Hurt After Crash on Highway 501

Myrtle Beach, SC (January 17, 2023)

One person was injured in a crash on Highway 501 near Myrtle Beach on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) is investigating the crash, which happened at around 3:00 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 501 and Farrow Parkway.

According to the SCHP, a 2017 Honda Accord was traveling north on Highway 501 when it crossed the center line and struck a 2019 Toyota Camry traveling south.

The driver of the Honda, a 25-year-old man from Myrtle Beach, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Toyota, a 30-year-old woman from Conway, was not injured.

The SCHP is still investigating the crash. No charges have been filed at this time.
