Suspect drives against traffic and rams police cars during pursuit

A man has been arrested on the A58 after a Wild West-style chase involving 15 police cars. The suspect, who was driving a black Audi, was first spotted by police on the A58 near Breda. He failed to stop when ordered to do so and instead drove off at high speed.

The suspect then drove against traffic and rammed several police cars during the pursuit. He was eventually stopped on the A58 near Tilburg after police used a stinger to puncture his tires.

The suspect, who is in his 30s, was arrested and taken into custody. He is currently being questioned by police.

Police: Suspect's behavior was "extremely dangerous"

Police have said that the suspect's behavior was "extremely dangerous" and that he could have easily caused serious injury or death.

"This was a very dangerous situation," said a police spokesman. "The suspect was driving at high speeds, against traffic, and ramming police cars. He showed a complete disregard for the safety of other road users."

"We are grateful that no one was seriously injured during this incident," the spokesman added.

Investigation ongoing

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

"We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who saw the suspect driving against traffic on the A58," the spokesman said.

"We would also like to hear from anyone who has any information about the suspect's identity or whereabouts."
