Clippers Win Preseason Opener with 104-92 Victory Over Rockets
The Los Angeles Clippers (1-0) earned a hard-fought 104-92 victory over the Houston Rockets (0-1) in a preseason matchup at Toyota Center on Saturday night.
Los Angeles dominated from the jump, leading by as many as 22 points in the first half. Houston, however, hung around and cut the deficit to just five points midway through the fourth quarter.
The Clippers then pulled away for a 104-92 victory, with Paul George leading the way with 19 points and eight assists.
George Leads Clippers' Balanced Attack
In addition to George, six other Clippers scored in double figures, highlighting the team's depth and balance.

- Nicolas Batum: 15 points
- Ivica Zubac: 12 points
- Marcus Morris Sr.: 11 points
- Reggie Jackson: 10 points
- Terance Mann: 10 points
This balanced attack was too much for the Rockets to handle, who were led by Jalen Green's 16 points off the bench.
Rockets Struggle From the Field
The Rockets struggled to keep pace with the Clippers, shooting just 40.8% from the field compared to the Clippers' 50.6%.
Houston also struggled from three-point range, making just 27.3% of their attempts compared to the Clippers' 36.4%.
The Rockets will look to rebound in their next preseason game on October 16th when they host the San Antonio Spurs.
Clippers Continue Preseason
The Clippers will continue their preseason schedule on October 18th when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Clippers will then wrap up their preseason schedule with a game against the Denver Nuggets on October 20th.
