Bulls no match for hot Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers won their ninth straight game on Monday night, tying the third-longest win streak to start an NBA season, with a 144-126 victory over the Chicago Bulls. Donovan Mitchell led the way for the Cavs with 32 points, while Darius Garland added 24 points and 10 assists. Jarrett Allen also had a big night with 18 points and 15 rebounds.
The Bulls were led by DeMar DeRozan, who had 28 points. Zach LaVine added 23 points, and Nikola Vucevic had 15 points and 12 rebounds.
The Cavs took control of the game early, jumping out to a 35-14 lead after the first quarter. They continued to pour it on in the second quarter, outscoring the Bulls 37-26 to take a 72-40 lead into halftime.
The Bulls made a run in the third quarter, cutting the lead to 10 points, but the Cavs quickly regained control of the game. They outscored the Bulls 33-25 in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
The Cavs' nine-game winning streak is their longest since the 2017-18 season, when they won 13 straight games.
The Cavs are now 9-1 on the season, while the Bulls are 5-5.
