Wizards' Anthony Gill: Iffy against Atlanta
Anthony Gill's status for Tuesday's game vs. the Hawks is uncertain.
Washington Wizards forward Anthony Gill is questionable to play Tuesday against the Atlanta Hawks due to a non-COVID illness, the team announced Monday.
Gill missed Sunday's game against the Orlando Magic with the illness and is considered day-to-day.
The 6-foot-7 forward is averaging 5.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in 30 games this season.
Gill's absence would be a blow to the Wizards, who are already without Kristaps Porzingis (foot) and Rui Hachimura (ankle). Gill has started 14 games this season and has been a solid contributor off the bench.
If Gill is unable to play, Deni Avdija or Kyle Kuzma could see more minutes at power forward. Avdija has started 21 games this season and is averaging 8.4 points and 6.8 rebounds, while Kuzma is averaging 20.2 points and 8.4 rebounds.
