Warriors' De'Anthony Melton to Miss Time With Broken Nose

Grizzlies Guard Fractured Nose in Loss to Celtics

Melton Expected to Miss Multiple Games

Golden State Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton is expected to miss multiple games after suffering a broken nose in the team's 123-107 loss to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night.

Melton was injured with 8:55 remaining in the third quarter when he collided with Celtics forward Jayson Tatum while chasing a loose ball. Melton immediately went to the locker room and did not return to the game.

X-rays confirmed that Melton had fractured his nose, and he will be re-evaluated in 10 days.

The loss of Melton is a significant blow to the Warriors, who are already without Steph Curry (shoulder) and Andrew Wiggins (illness). Melton has been a key part of the Warriors' rotation this season, averaging 11.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.

With Melton out, the Warriors will likely turn to Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson for more minutes in the backcourt.

The Warriors are currently 22-23 on the season and are in seventh place in the Western Conference.

They will host the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.
