Porsche recalls 134 Taycan EVs in Canada over potential brake issue
The recall affects certain 2023 Porsche Taycan models equipped with the optional ceramic composite brake system.
The issue:
According to Transport Canada, the brake pedal may not return to its original position after being depressed, which could increase the risk of a crash.
Porsche Canada says it is aware of one incident in Canada where the issue occurred, but no injuries or accidents have been reported.
The fix:
Porsche Canada will inspect the affected vehicles and replace the brake pedal assembly free of charge.
The recall is expected to begin on March 8, 2023.

The recall affects 134 Porsche Taycan models in Canada, including:
- 2023 Porsche Taycan
- 2023 Porsche Taycan 4S
- 2023 Porsche Taycan GTS
- 2023 Porsche Taycan Turbo
- 2023 Porsche Taycan Turbo S
What to do:
Porsche Canada will contact affected owners by mail. Owners can also contact their local Porsche dealer to schedule an inspection and repair.
In the meantime, Porsche Canada advises owners to avoid driving their vehicles until the recall repairs have been completed.
