Pitt Signs 6-foot-4 Guard Omari Witherspoon to Letter of Intent

Pitt basketball has added another piece to its 2023 recruiting class with the signing of 6-foot-4 guard Omari Witherspoon.
A native of Tallahassee, Florida, Witherspoon is a three-star recruit who is ranked as the No. 122 overall prospect in the 2023 class by 247Sports.
Witherspoon Can Play Multiple Positions
Witherspoon is a versatile player who can play both guard positions. He is a good athlete with a strong frame and good length.
He is a good shooter with a quick release and a high basketball IQ. Witherspoon is also a good passer and rebounder.
Witherspoon Was a Major Piece for Maclay School
Witherspoon played his high school basketball at Maclay School in Tallahassee, where he helped lead the team to a state championship in 2022.
As a senior, Witherspoon averaged 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game.
Witherspoon is Excited to Join Pitt
Witherspoon is excited to join Pitt and play for head coach Jeff Capel.
