New Personal Independence Payment Tool Launched for Claimants as Hundreds of Millions Go Unclaimed
Government Launches New Personal Independence Payment Tool
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has launched a new online tool to help people claim Personal Independence Payment (PIP). PIP is a benefit that provides financial support to people with long-term disabilities or health conditions that affect their ability to live independently.
The new tool is designed to make it easier for people to claim PIP by providing them with step-by-step guidance and support throughout the process.
Hundreds of Millions of PIP Goes Unclaimed
The DWP estimates that around £3.2 billion of PIP goes unclaimed each year. This is because many people are unaware that they are eligible for the benefit or they find the application process too daunting.
The new online tool is designed to address these issues by making it easier for people to claim PIP and get the support they are entitled to. If you are have a long-term disability or health condition then you must check to see if you are eligible for this benefit. The government is urging people who think they may be eligible for PIP but have not yet claimed to use the new online tool to apply. You can access the tool by clicking here.
