Nations League roundup: Ronaldo doubles up as Portugal thrash Poland
Portugal scorched Poland 3-0 in their latest Nations League clash on Thursday, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring twice to move two goals shy of the 100-goal milestone for his country.
The victory means reigning European champions Portugal finish top of Group A3, with Poland finishing bottom having lost all four of their matches.
Portugal were in control from the off and opened the scoring in the 33rd minute when Rafael Leao's cross was turned into his own net by Poland defender Kamil Glik.
Ronaldo made it 2-0 eight minutes later, tapping home from close range after a superb cross from Diogo Dalot.
The Portugal captain then sealed the win with his second goal of the game in the 52nd minute, firing home from the edge of the box after being played in by Andre Silva.
The result means Portugal have now won three of their four Nations League matches, with their only defeat coming against Spain in September.
Poland, meanwhile, have lost all four of their matches and will be relegated to League B for the next edition of the competition.
