Acosta makes an immediate impact
Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) made an immediate impact on his debut in the Moto2™ class, going fastest overall during the early stages of FP1 before eventually finishing third, just 0.070s off Nakagami's time.
Marini and Vierge impress
Luca Marini (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) was another rider to shine, finishing second and lapping just 0.026 off the top spot, while Jorge Vierge (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) also caught the eye with fourth place.

Reigning World Champion Max Verstappen has been forced to withdraw from this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix after suffering a heavy crash in FP1 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Verstappen taken to hospital for checks
The Red Bull driver lost control of his car at the high-speed Turn 13 and crashed into the barriers, with the impact triggering the red flag. Verstappen was taken to the circuit medical centre before being transferred to a local hospital for further checks.
