Bagnaia tops second practice at Barcelona, with Bezzecchi, Quartararo in tow

Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) has topped the timesheets in the second free practice session at the Catalan GP, with Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) in tow just 0.040s behind his fellow Italian.

Championship leader Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) was third quickest, the Frenchman ending the session 0.206s off the pace and just ahead of Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing).

Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) completed the top five, the Spaniard edging out his teammate Johann Zarco, who was sixth quickest.

Miller, Vinales, Oliveira, Nakagami, and Bastianini complete the top ten

Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team) was seventh quickest, with Maverick Vinales (Aprilia Racing) and Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) completing the top nine.

Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda Idemitsu) and Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) rounded out the top ten.

Second practice ends under yellow flags

The session was interrupted by yellow flags in the closing stages after Raul Fernandez (Tech3 KTM Factory Racing) crashed at Turn 12, bringing out the yellow flags.

The session was red flagged with just over five minutes remaining after Franco Morbidelli (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) crashed at Turn 10.
