KMSKA Launches Its Own Perfume: "This Way, We Can Stimulate an Extra Sense in Our Visitors" | Antwerp
Antwerp's Royal Museum of Fine Arts (KMSKA) is launching its own perfume, named "MASKA". The museum hopes to evoke the museum's unique atmosphere through the use of various scents.
The museum commissioned the perfume as part of a larger strategy to enhance the visitor experience. "We want to stimulate all of our visitors' senses," says KMSKA director, Carmen Willems. "The perfume will complement the visual experience of the art and create a more immersive and memorable visit."
The perfume was developed by the Antwerp fragrance house, April Aromatics, and features notes of bergamot, iris, and amber. The scent is described as "warm, inviting, and slightly mysterious," and is intended to evoke the museum's atmosphere of history and culture.
The perfume will be available for purchase at the KMSKA museum shop, as well as online. The museum is also planning to host a series of events and workshops related to the perfume, including guided tours and scent-making classes.
