Girls Aloud address questions as to band's future
The speculation about a Girls Aloud reunion has been addressed by the group.
The band's management has called the latest round of speculation about a reunion "inaccurate". This comes after an interview in which Kimberley Walsh expressed her desire to perform with her former bandmates again. Nadine Coyle has also addressed the rumors, saying that it's "not the right time" for a reunion. In a statement, the band's management said: "We would like to make it clear that there are no plans for a Girls Aloud reunion at this time. The band is focused on their individual projects and do not want to rule out recording together again in the future, but they have no immediate plans to do so".
The band has been on hiatus since 2013.
They have since reunited for a one-off performance in 2019. Cheryl Tweedy has previously said that she would be interested in a reunion, but only if all five members were involved. Sarah Harding passed away in September 2021, following a battle with breast cancer. It is therefore impossible for the band to reunite with all five members present.
The band's future is uncertain.
It remains to be seen whether or not Girls Aloud will ever reunite. The band has achieved great success, and their fans would undoubtedly welcome a reunion. However, it is clear that the band members are focused on their individual projects at this time. Only time will tell as to what the future has in store for Girls Aloud.
