Bulldogs drop to No. 5 in latest CFP rankings after loss to LSU
Georgia lost 50-30 to LSU on Saturday, dropping them to 10-2 on the season. The Bulldogs were ranked No. 1 in the CFP rankings prior to the loss, but they have now fallen to No. 5. LSU, meanwhile, moved up to No. 1 in the rankings after their win over Georgia.
The loss to LSU was Georgia's first of the season. The Bulldogs had been one of the most dominant teams in the country all season long. They had outscored their opponents by an average score of 41-13 through their first 11 games. However, LSU was able to slow down Georgia's offense and force three turnovers.
Ohio State remains at No. 2, followed by Michigan and TCU
In other news from the CFP rankings, Ohio State remained at No. 2, followed by Michigan and TCU. Ohio State had a bye this week, while Michigan beat Illinois and TCU beat Iowa State.
The top four teams in the CFP rankings will make the College Football Playoff. The semifinals will be played on December 31, and the championship game will be played on January 9.
