Florida's Basketball Team Adds Talented Playmaker

Lloyd Brings Versatility and Experience to the Gators

The University of Florida Gators have signed guard Alex Lloyd to a National Letter of Intent. Lloyd, a 6'3" combo guard from Orlando, Florida, is a highly touted recruit and one of the top players in the 2023 class.

Lloyd is a versatile player who can score, rebound, and defend. He averaged 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game as a senior at Dr. Phillips High School. He also led his team to a state championship in 2022.

Lloyd's athleticism and skill set make him a valuable addition to the Gators' backcourt. He is a good shooter with a quick release and can create his own shot off the dribble. He is also a strong defender who can guard multiple positions.

Lloyd is excited to join the Gators and contribute to the team's success. He said, "I'm really excited to be a part of the Gator family. I think this is a great program with a lot of tradition and I'm looking forward to helping the team win championships."

Lloyd is the fourth player to sign with the Gators in the 2023 class. He joins forwards Malik Reneau and Jalen Reed, and center Colin Castleton. The Gators are expected to compete for an SEC championship and a national title in the 2023-24 season.
