England's Under-21s have reached the semi-finals of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Spain.
England Win 4-3 on Penalties
The match finished 1-1 after extra-time, with Spain taking the lead through Juan Miranda before Rhian Brewster leveled for England.
In the shootout, England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale saved penalties from Marc Cucurella and Gonzalo Villar, while all four of England's takers - Conor Gallagher, Curtis Jones, Eddie Nketiah and Callum Hudson-Odoi - scored.
England to Face Netherlands in Semi-Finals
England will now face the Netherlands in the semi-finals on Thursday, June 3.
The Netherlands reached the last four after a 2-1 victory over France.
England's Impressive Run Continues
England's victory over Spain continues their impressive run in the tournament.
The Young Lions won their group with three wins from three, including a 4-1 victory over Croatia.
They then beat Switzerland 2-1 in the quarter-finals.
Spain's Disappointment
Spain, who were one of the favorites for the tournament, will be disappointed to have been eliminated at this stage.
They had won their group with two wins and a draw, and then beat Portugal 2-1 in the quarter-finals.
However, they were unable to overcome a resilient England side in the semi-finals.
