Denmark must make ‘adjustments’ to beat Spain, says Hojbjerg
Denmark will need to make adjustments to their tactics if they want to beat Spain in the last 16 of the Euros, according to midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The Danes topped Group B with three wins from three games, but they face a much tougher test against Spain, who finished second in Group E.
Hojbjerg believes Denmark will need to be more organized and disciplined in defense if they want to keep Spain's attacking players quiet.
"Spain is a top team with a lot of quality players," Hojbjerg said.
"We will need to make some adjustments to our tactics if we want to beat them."
"We will need to be more compact in defense and we will need to be more patient in attack."
"If we can do that, then I think we have a good chance of winning."
Denmark's coach Kasper Hjulmand echoed Hojbjerg's sentiments, saying that the team will need to be at their best to beat Spain.
"Spain is a very good team," Hjulmand said.
"They have a lot of quality players and they are very well organized."
