Christmas By The Sea's Opening Is Days Away & Strictly Come Dancing Stars Could Have A Part To Play
It's almost time
The wait is nearly over for Christmas By The Sea with the event just days away. The Hampshire festival will kick off on Friday at the Southsea Common and will run everyday up until Christmas Eve.
Strictly stars set to attend?
There could also be a Strictly Come Dancing flavour to some of the performances, with ex-contestants thought to be making an appearance. A source told The News: "Strictly Come Dancing stars may be performing during some of the shows. We aren't able to confirm names at the moment but hopefully we can share more news soon."
Something for everyone
The festival will offer a fun-filled family festive experience with food and drink stalls, rides and live music. Visitors can also meet Santa in his magical grotto and see the Christmas trees which are sponsored by local businesses.
The event will also feature The UK's largest outdoor ice rink. It will be 1000 square metres in size and is sure to be popular with people of all ages.
What's on each day?
Friday, December 16: 12pm-10pm - The festival will open to the public from midday onwards. Visitors can enjoy all the rides, stalls and live music on offer.
Saturday, December 17: 12pm-10pm - More of the same as Friday with rides, stalls, live music and a performance by Military Wives Choir at 4pm.
Sunday, December 18: 12pm-10pm- Sunday will see the arrival of Santa in his magical grotto and the launch of the Christmas Food Festival which runs daily up until Christmas Eve.
What are the prices?
Tickets for Christmas By The Sea cost £20 for adults, £15 for children, and £10 for disabled visitors. Children under the age of 5 go free.
