Capital Dynamics Selected for UK Energy Investment
Capital Dynamics' Clean Energy Infrastructure Fund VI ("CEIF VI") has been selected by Amber Infrastructure Group ("Amber") to manage a £100 million investment into Pegasus Battery Storage Limited ("Pegasus").
The investment will support the development of a 50MW/100MWh battery storage project, which will be located in South Wales, UK. The project is expected to reach commercial operation in 2024 and will help to balance the UK's electricity grid, supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Capital Dynamics is a global private asset management firm with $16 billion in assets under management. The firm has a long track record of investing in clean energy infrastructure and has invested in over 100 renewable energy projects globally.
Amber is a leading international infrastructure investor with £4.2 billion in assets under management. The firm has a strong track record of investing in renewable energy and has invested in over 50 renewable energy projects globally.
CEIF VI is a closed-end private equity fund that invests in clean energy infrastructure assets. The fund has a target size of $750 million and is expected to make 10-15 investments in clean energy projects globally.
The investment into Pegasus is CEIF VI's first investment in the UK. The fund has previously invested in clean energy projects in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
