Belfast Christmas Market: Traders 'not worried' about traffic
Traders at Belfast's Christmas Market say they are "not worried" about the impact of traffic restrictions on their businesses.
The market, which is located in the city center, is expected to attract more than 1 million visitors this year. However, new traffic restrictions have been put in place in an effort to reduce congestion.
The restrictions, which include a ban on cars from entering the city center during certain hours, have been met with mixed reactions from businesses. Some traders have expressed concern that the restrictions will deter visitors from coming to the market.
However, other traders say they are confident that the market will still be a success. They point to the fact that the market has been a popular destination for visitors in previous years, despite similar traffic restrictions.
"We're not worried about the traffic restrictions," said one trader. "We think the market will still be a success. We've got a lot to offer visitors, and we're confident that they'll still come."
The Belfast Christmas Market will open on November 17th and will run until December 22nd. It will feature a variety of stalls selling food, drink, gifts, and crafts.
