BBC Children in Need fans complain as Girls Aloud tribute to Sarah Harding 'cut short'
Fans of BBC Children in Need have complained that the Girls Aloud tribute to Sarah Harding was 'cut short.'
The tribute, which aired on Friday night, featured the band's remaining members performing a medley of their hits, including 'Sound of the Underground' and 'Love Machine.'
However, many viewers were left disappointed when the performance was cut short after just two songs.
One viewer tweeted: "What a disgrace! The Girls Aloud tribute on BBC Children in Need was cut short after just two songs. This was a special moment for fans, and it was ruined by the BBC's decision to cut it short.
Another viewer said: "I'm so disappointed that the Girls Aloud tribute was cut short. I was really looking forward to seeing them perform, and it was over before I knew it."
A BBC spokesperson has said that the tribute was cut short due to time constraints. The spokesperson said: "We understand that some viewers were disappointed that the Girls Aloud tribute was cut short. However, we had to make a difficult decision due to time constraints. We hope that viewers will understand."
Sarah Harding died in September 2021 after a battle with breast cancer. She was 39 years old.
