Mohammad Rizwan will captain Pakistan in the first T20I against Australia today
After leading Pakistan to a 2-1 ODI series win over Australia, Mohammad Rizwan will now lead the team in the first T20I of the three-match series. The match will be played at the Gabba in Brisbane on Friday, October 23.
Rizwan has been in excellent form in recent months, scoring two centuries and two fifties in his last five ODI innings. He will be hoping to continue his good form in the T20I series and help Pakistan to a win.
Pakistan will be without Babar Azam for the T20I series, as the skipper has been rested. In his absence, Rizwan will be the senior batsman in the team and will be responsible for leading the batting lineup.
